Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0
Steps to reproduce:
On Windows 10 with a fresh profile:
- install the French spelling dictionary (also works with other languages) and ensure french is the language enabled (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dictionnaire-fran%C3%A7ais1/)
- open https://web.whatsapp.com/
- connect to your account
- type "aaaaaa" in a conversation or in the search bar, then a space
- right click on the text field
Actual results:
Firefox freezes for some seconds before opening the menu, depending on the text entered and the dictionary used ("bbbbbb" won't hang with french for example).
Adding more "a" increase the freeze duration.
The main process is at 100% CPU usage during the freeze and is not responding.
Expected results:
The menu should open instantly.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Spelling checker' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Hi Okarin,
Thanks for your report. I was able to reproduce your issue so I´ll mark this as "New" for visibility.
Let´s wait for a developer to look into this.
Thanks!
