User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0

Steps to reproduce:

Using openSUSE LEAP 15.3 and Thunderbird 78.13.0 (64 bit)

  1. Received a public key from a correspondent in Thunderbird as attachment.
After digital signature showed "key expired". Private encryption sub-key had expired 'revoked', but signing key primary key was valid.
2..1 opened .asc file in text editor, to import into Thunderbird 78.13 on openSUSE LEAP 15.3 (64-bit). Copied key to clipboard.
2.2 Saved .asc file to folder, opened in text editor to to import into Thunderbird 78.13 on openSUSE LEAP 15.3 (64-bit). Copied key to clipboard.
  2. Using openGPG from Thunderbird imported key from clipboard.
  3. Key imported.
  4. Thunderbird openGPG shows wrong expiry date.
  5. Key has signing key valid. sub key encryption expired.
  6. On looking at key detail in openGPG in Thunderbird, it states 'key expired', but that only applies to the sub key. It does not pick up public key that is not expired in title to key details

Actual results:

Public Key in openGPG shows as expired

Expected results:

Public Key should have been shown as not expired.

Summary: invalid date in openPGP key displayed → invalid date in openPGP key displayed (expiry date of subkey vs primary key)

Looks like the duplicate of the issue https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1673993 .
Should be fixed once RNP v0.15.2 gets into the Thunderbird release.
