I would like to use netscape messanger at work to read my local files at work. An ip address, username and password would need to be used. Require the sshd to be active? I don't think this is a valid bug report. 1) It's talking about Netscape Messenger 2) It seems to be asking a question? Try #mozillazine on irc.mozilla.org to ask questions. -> INVALID

My posting was primilarily a enhancement request (I mislabeled it as a bug). My question touched upon a possible implementation issue regarding the desired feature. The feature which I am requesting is not available on mozilla as it stands. Let me rephrase: I would like Mozilla to access local folders on another machine with the same ease as accessing a mailbox (say via imap) or accessing local folders on the machine running mozilla. It may not be an IMAP issue, but it is a mail issue.

You realize that you have to install a fileserver on the remote host (let's say NFS or SMB), mount that fileserver on your local one, and then read the files just as if it was a local file ? Or you can export your file-system with FTP, and then read it in Mozilla. Both methods already work, you just have to make sure that the data is exported, so you can access it. This has nothing to do with Mozilla --> INVALID or WORKSFORME
