The "Close Sidebar" icon on the toolbar needs improvement. It is hard to distinguish from the "Open Sidebar" icon without close scrutiny. Changing the left-pointing arrow to a red X or a red circle with a bar through it, might help.
I'm on 2002100604.
WorksForMe using Chimera/2002100304. The arrow changes direction, and it's pretty obvious.
If Chimera goes back to showing the Sidebar drawer on either the left or right side, though, it might be wise to either change from arrows to something else, or show which direction the Sidebar will open by showing the icon with the arrow pointing in that direction.
Yeah ... I'm using the sidebar on the left today and the arrows are pointing the wrong way. Perhaps arrows and changing icon are unnecessary ... Mail.app doesn't bother with them. Confirming as NEW for this problem.
