Description

15 years ago
While on a Cisco Net Academy webpage (you can't get without a password) the
graphic for a page appears for part of a second and then goes away. Reloading
the page always gives the same results.

You might note that Netscape Navigator also has trouble with the latest Cisco
webpages.

Here is the (rather sparse) page source in case it helps (the URL is for the
table of contents instead of the actual page because they take over the browser
and open a window without path information):

<html>
    <head>
        <meta content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" http-equiv="Content-Type">
        <title>Cisco Networking Academy Program</title>
        <script>
top.currentPage = "knet-G141202";

//test value
groupid = 'knet-G141202';
</script>
    </head>
    <frameset onload="window.focus()" frameborder="0" border="0"
framespacing="0" cols="490,301">
        <frameset rows="100%,57">

            <frame name="media_frame" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0"
marginheight="0" src="../../knet/G141202/media.html">
            <frame name="list_frame" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0"
marginheight="0" src="../../knet/CH47101/chapterlist.html" target="content_frame">
        </frameset>
        <frameset rows="100%,57">
            <frame name="content_frame" scrolling="yes" marginwidth="0"
marginheight="0" target="_self" src="../../knet/G141202/content.html">
            <frame name="navigation_frame" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0"
marginheight="0" noresize="noresize" resizable="0" target="content"
src="../../knet/CH47101/navigation.html">
        </frameset>
        <noframes>
            <body>

                <p>This page uses frames, but your browser doesn't support them.</p>
            </body>
        </noframes>
    </frameset>
</html>

Ronald, what build ID are you reporting this bug against? Does this also happen
using Mozilla?

The version I was using was the v0.5.0 nightly build from 6Oct2002 at 07:58.

I have not tried Mozilla and the version of Netscape I have (on the Mac) is
v4.75 which, while it works is probably useless. At work I've used Netscape
v6.x (on W2K) and had it work.

Does this help?
