User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20020909 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20020909 When I attempt to select text with the mouse in a web page (so far all the ones I have tried...) it will indeed select the text, but while I am selecting the text it will also cause the window to be moved across the screen in the same direction. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a web page 2.Attempt to select text 3.Watch the window move as you drag your cursor over the desired text. Actual Results: The window moved as the mouse moved. Expected Results: The window should be still while only the text is selected. The window should NOT move when selecting text WITHIN the window.
David, can you still reproduce this problem using a more current build?

I think I am using the most current build. It is Chimera 0.5.0,

David, that's the most current release version. Development builds for testing purposes are created every night. Please download one of these and retest.

I repeated the steps with the latest nightly build (currently the Oct. 8th edition) and it did not solve the window dragging problem.
WorksForMe using Chimera/2002100304 on 10.1.5. Selecting text doesn't cause the window to move. (Of course, the window *scrolls* if you drag past the content area boundaries, but that's not what you're reporting, is it, David?)

Okay, I now know the problem. I use haxies from unsanity.com (cool things adding convenient features to osX) and one of them is called Metallifizer, which changes window layout of all cocoa to brushed aluminum (the look of iTunes etc.) which i much prefer to the standard penal stripes... When I have this installed, it causes this problem. It would be nice to resolve this, since this doesn't occur in any other cocoa applications i use, but since it is so specific i understand it isn't that important. If possible, try it out and see if you can discover the exact cause of the problem, metallifizer is a free download from unsanity.com
David, you should also contact Metallifizer's author and ask them if this is a known problem with their software.

Caused by Metallifizer, and fixed now.
