17312 - [PP] Can't customize sidebar on NT or Linux

Running 1999102608.

Steps:
1) Open Sidebar.
2) Click customize.
3) Make a change in the dialog that comes up (i.e., delete a panel).
4) Click save.  The dialog does not go away and changes are not saved.

I saw this feature working today on a Win98 machine.

Hmmm, it actually works for me on my Linux build but not on my win95 build I'm
getting a js error clicking on the save button:
nsIRDFContainer.RemoveElementAt error in sidebarOverlay.js:sidebarCustomize
line150. I cleaned my system and created new profiles both times.

Currently, the sidebar "Save" if you do not have "panels.rdf" in your profile
directory. If you create a new profile, the file should be copied over
correctly.

Seth, will your new file locator, copy the default file into the profile
directory if the file does not exist?

the file locator just finds the special file that you need, in this case,
sidebar.rdf

it doesn't do any copying.

I should have added that the file locator doesn't know about sidebar.rdf yet.

I have on open bug against me to fix this.
