I selected print and the dialog box came up saying it was formatting, but the
progress indicator stayed at 0%.  I selected the cancel button thinking I would
try again, and now whenever I select print from the menu in any window (of the
same Mozilla process) I get the normal dialog box to select printer etc, but
when I select print on that dialog I then get an error dialog that says "You
cannot print while in print preview".

(Which in and of itself would be a lame restriction...  most print preview
windows have a print button on them... after all if you like the preview what is
the next most likely think you are going to want to do??)

I launched another copy of Mozilla and it was able to print fine.  I suspect
once I close the process that has the problem it will go away until I am able to
reproduce it again in the future.

Steps to Reproduce:
Need to print from a site that will cause the print dialog to stay at zero
percent for long enough to hit the cancel button.
Hit the cancel button.
Try to print again from same or different page, tab or window.
Actual Results:  
Future print attempts give error message "You cannot print while in print preview".

Expected Results:  
Cancelling a job does not prevent future printing.

This page I was trying to print was from a secure (https) web page (Web Banking
site)..  (It was actually a bill payment confirmation and I could not duplicate
the exact page to reprint it later.  I tried saving the page but when I reloaded
it later it was all screwed up (had lots of weird extra characters in it.))

This issue should be fixed in 2003-01-14-trunk when using Mozilla's Xprint
module (this will still occur when using the PostScript module ;-(( ).

Unfortunately I no longer use Solaris as my primary operating system, so I am unable to retest.  Since another poster has posted this as "works for me" I will change the status accordingly.
