Details
A number of CICP inputs which are either invalid (for reserved values or deliberately unspecified values) or unsupported (because of their lack of use and complexity of implementation) result in panics that become tab crashes. Instead, a more graceful error handling would be appropriate.
A fix for this was originally included in bug 1729539 (see D125006 diff 482027), but couldn't be successfully landed for reasons that are currently still mysterious.
