User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:92.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/92.0
Steps to reproduce:
Cleared cache, cookies, rebooted numerous times. Gmail community gave a few others which I tried. Ended up having to use gmail in basic HTML mode.
Actual results:
temporary error
Expected results:
It should have opened like it always did before the update. Now, the only way to open gmail is in private window, which means logging in and getting a text code every time I click on gmail. The only thing that let me open in reg;ular window is switching gmail to basic HTML mode.

Hi,
I am not able to replicate the issue. I've tried on: windows 10 pro updating to latest release and nightly builds.
Could you please answer the following questions in order to further investigate this issue?
1- Are you using add-ons? (you can try the issue while in Safe Mode. You can find helpful info here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode .)
2- Does this issue occur in the latest nightly version of firefox? Here is a link from where you can download it: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/
3- Can you please attach your about:support information?
I've assigned a component in order to get the dev team involved.
Thanks for the report.
Best regards, Clara.

Hi banff43, thanks for reporting this bug. The dev team has two theories on what might be causing this Gmail problem.
-
Since Gmail works in basic HTML mode, this might be a Service Worker problem. Try unregistering the "mail.google.com" Service Worker in Firefox's
about:serviceworkers
page and then restarting Firefox. -
Since Gmail works in a Private Window, this might be an add-on bug. (Firefox does not load add-ons in Private Windows unless the user opts an add-on.) Try disabling all your add-ons in Firefox's
about:addons
page (Extensions section) and then restarting Firefox. If Gmail then works, try re-enabling your add-ons one-by-one, restarting Firefox and re-testing Gmail after re-enabling each add-on. You will hopefully pinpoint exactly which add-on is causing the problem.

Since the bug is closed, the stalled keyword is now meaningless.
