Attached image gmaps-render-issue.jpg

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:90.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/90.0

Steps to reproduce:

Load googlemaps with an area with a lake or ocean in view, wait for render, and see water get rendered out to default land background (light beige). Sometimes water remains, but zooming out will cause rerender and display the issue more reliably.

Actual results:

Water is no longer rendered, shows up as same colour as background on land.

This seems to be related to new FF release, as there's rendering artifacts visible on many pages, especially scrolling, especially on facebook - rectangular patches flicker during scroll as med grey on the dark mode dark grey background, but usually paint properly when scrolling stops. However, sometimes a medium grey patch remains.

Expected results:

Water rendered as normal.

This is the west end of lake ontario at Hamilton, which should show the lake dominating the right side of the image.

seems fixed in 0.92
