Details

(Keywords: perf)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:92.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/92.0

Steps to reproduce:

I was playing a video on YouTube and left that video on pause for a while(about 15 to 20 mins), came back to resume the video.

Actual results:

The video was freezing in short intervals while audio kept playing. After a while (about 1 to 2 seconds) video skipped frames to continue with audio.
This was a repeating cycle.

Here is a firefox profile link that I recorded:
https://share.firefox.dev/3m7T8Rs

Expected results:

The video should have continued playing smoothly.

Not a security issue that needs to stay hidden, so moving to moco-confidential for now.

Reporter: was there a particular reason you ticked that box, or could we make this report public? Public reports make it possible for non-Mozilla-employees to help investigate and/or resolve issues.

Yeah we should make it public.
It's my first bug report, so It was my mistake to make it security bug.

Great, thanks for the quick response! I'll let other people with more experience with A/V playback or graphics issues comment on the actual issue...
