User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:92.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/92.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open https://www.walgreens.com/login.jsp
  2. Try to login with my own account

Actual results:

The webpage says: "We are sorry for the inconvenience, but this service is currently unavailable. Please try again later."

I tried with disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection and AdBlocking, but the problem persists

Expected results:

I should be able to login to my account

I tried with Chrome and Microsoft Edge (Chrome-based), both of them works just fine and don't have this problem

qianshangshu could you try clearing cache/data/cookies, or use a clean profile, and check again? Also if there are any changes made to default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config) please revert to the default settings.
If it still occurs could you also check the console logs and post a screenshot here?

Same issue for the past few months.
FF 101.0/Win7.
Same in safe mode, new profile, and new instance of FF with ETP disabled.
I have a ticket in, supposedly going to upper level support. Will keep updating here.

From the console:

Top of Header:
POST https://www.walgreens.com/profile/v1/login

Transferred 1.81 KB (291 B size)

You don't have permission to access "http://www.walgreens.com/profile/v1/login" on this server.

Redirect a needinfo that is pending on an inactive user to the triage owner.
:denschub, since the bug has recent activity, could you have a look please?

The issue still occurs.

Update from Walgreens 7/4/22. Getting nowhere fast:

"Upon further research, we can conclude that this isn't an issue on Walgreens.com. As per your screenshot it says on "this server" - This isn't Walgreen's server, this is the computer's server. A server is a computer or system that provides resources, data, services or programs to other computers, known as clients over a network.

I do apologize for any inconvenience. We have determined that this is an issue with your browser and not the walgreens.com website.

The “Access Denied” error appears when your browser uses different proxy settings or VPN instead of what's really set on your PC. Thus, when a website detects that there is something wrong with your browser cookies or your network, it blocks you and this is why you can't open it."

/////
I'm not using a VPN and FF proxy is set to none, as is System proxy. I tried various combinations of making them the same, to no avail.

Now trying on a new instance of FF, I'm getting 401 Unauthorized!

More info: as @qianshangshu_1997 mentioned, the problem was noted on FF v92.0. I tested on 91.0.2 portable and the problem didn't happen.
I also tested 91.9esr portable and the problem didn't happen. I updated to 91.11esr and the problem happened.

Update 7/1/2022 (now, because I discovered I had posted this on the wrong bug):
"I have reviewed your account with my IT team and we were not able to duplicate the issue. Have you checked the browser/device/OS permission settings?"

My reply:
"Exactly what permission settings? It's an intermittent problem on all FF
platforms, and I'm not the only one experiencing it.
See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1733820."

But it now appears that the problem has resolved for me. What about you, @qianshangshu_1997?

I still cannot log in to walgreens.com, without tracking protection and ad block (FF 106.0.5).

I found one 403 Error on "POST https://www.walgreens.com/profile/v1/login?ru=/" with Inspect tool.

These problems are indeed intermittent. I had a similar problem before on pay-less.com, but on the latest one or two versions of FF, the problem just resolved by itself.

I just tested on my Edge, and the same POST returns 200 successfully.

So I tried the user agent switcher and used a user agent from Chrome 103, even with the ad blocker enabled, the Walgreens website let me in. The same POST returns 200 without a problem. I think the problem is definitely on Walgreens' side.

Undoubtedly.

We appreciate your report. I was not able to reproduce the issue.

Suggestion: Try clearing cache/data/cookies, disabling add-ons and Ad-blocker (if available) and extensions or use a clean profile, and check again? If there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config) please revert to the default settings and try again. Also, have the required cookies been accepted for this page?
