RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1730418

People

(Reporter: andalax.readableness, Unassigned, NeedInfo)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0

Steps to reproduce:

I am using Firefox 92 on macos 11.6 with DoH enabled (NextDNS).

I am also using uBO and localcdn.

In localcdn, advanced setting, I have enabled "block requests for missing resource".

In about:config, I have set "network.dns.disablePrefetch" to "true".

Actual results:

I have found that DNS requests are made even if those requests are blocked / intercepted by uBO and localcdn.

DNS requests for blocked / intercepted resources are NOT made if DoH is disabled.

Expected results:

DNS requests should have been made only for allowed requests.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Networking: DNS' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

I think this should be a dup of bug 1730418.
Could you try to use the latest nightly and test again?
Thanks.
