We should add some telemetry probes to the new account provisioner tab to see the usage and efficiency of it.
Some areas to consider might be:
- How many users use the Mailfence or Gandi search.
- How many accounts are created from this tab.

The new telemetry tests are failing on the server but pass locally.
Is there anything I'm missing that needs to be enabled for those tests to pass?

Nevermind, those tests will never pass if I keep pushing for an artifact build.

For data-review you need to grab a base doc, attach it and answer some questions. See https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird/Data_Collection

Ah, I didn't know that, thanks!

I'm not sure all the answers make sense, and I didn't know what to write for number 9.

- If this data collection is default on, what is the opt-out mechanism for users?
Turning off telemetry.
I'm not a data reviewer. Andrei will handle this

This is totally fine, since we are just counting uses of the provisioner, no personal data is being collected.
Data Review Form:
- Is there or will there be documentation that describes the schema for the ultimate data set in a public, complete, and accurate way?
Yes, in the scalar definition file.
- Is there a control mechanism that allows the user to turn the data collection on and off?
Yes, using standard Telemetry preferences.
- If the request is for permanent data collection, is there someone who will monitor the data over time?
Yes, Alessandro Castellani.
- Using the category system of data types on the Mozilla wiki, what collection type of data do the requested measurements fall under?
Category 2, interaction data.
- Is the data collection request for default-on or default-off?
Default on for all channels.
- Does the instrumentation include the addition of any new identifiers?
No.
- Is the data collection covered by the existing Thunderbird privacy notice?
Yes.
- Does the data collection use a third-party collection tool? If yes, escalate to legal.
No.
