When I select a user ,no matter which one, from the Select User screen I always get the same login name/real name in the Edit User screen. The login name/real name is the correct combination for an existing user. The URL for the selection is correct. In the Edit User screen the Group Access rights and Privileges are for the selected user and NOT for the login name/ real name in the Edit User screen. When i'm using MS Explorer everything works as expected. Products on Workstation: Mozilla 1.1 and MS Explorer 6.0 Bugzilla: Redhat linux 7.3,Apache 1.3, MySQL 3.22+(?),Bugzilla 2.16.1
Seems to be some interaction effect between MSExplorer and Mozilla Because it works fine on my Linux box when running Mozilla 1.1. Guess i'm in a minority wanting to use both in a Windows Environment.
bizzare.... jth, can you confirm this? Is the URL exactly the same for both mozilla and IE (including any escaping)? If not, what is the difference?
Attached file URL search strings
Contains serachstrings from Mozilla 1.1 and MS Explorer 6.0
I have experienced exactly the same problem. Logging out, then back in resolved it, and I have been unable to find a way to reproduce it. The problem originally occured while connected with Mozilla 1.0 on a Linux box just after signing in on another machine, Windows XP with IE 6. On the Linux box, selecting any user for editing brought up the login name and real name of a 3rd user (i.e, not the user I was logged in as on both the Linux and Windows systems, and not the user I was trying to edit). Regarless of which user account I selected for editing, the same, 3rd user's id and name was always displayed.
You know, I wonder if this is the result of someone accidently hitting a "remember these values" preference when submitting that form the first time...

No news since the end of 2002, 2.16.1 is a very old release now, and I cannot reproduce. Marking WFM.
