Steps to reproduce:
The junk mail folder controls must be made easier to use! Twice in one month I have had to set up my email on T-bird and each time it was such a struggle to get junk mail tools to work! It takes days and many attempts. This second time I'm still working on it. There is a switch somewhere that moves marked mail to the junk folder but I haven't found it again yet. And I'm a computer expert!
Actual results:
Why are controls spread out in so many places? Where is that switch that makes messages move? The flames are orange and the messages sit there.
Expected results:
Junk messages should have moved to junk folder when commanded.

Sorry for this late reply. If you still have problems, there is helpful documentation with nice pictures and explanations here:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-junk-spam-messages#w_per-account-settings
The settings are actually quite logical:
- Global junk preferences that count for ALL accounts can be found under ≡ > preferences>privacy & security>junk
- and junk preferences per account that count only for an individual account can be found under ≡ > Account Settings > Your Account > Junk Settings. Alternatively you can right click on one of your accounts and go to settings.
Even more so, you can right click on the very top row of thunderbird and activate the menu bar, which makes it a lot easier to find stuff. I don't like the ≡ menu either.
