In Bug 1724261 we have been updating warm page load tests to navigate to a sub-page of the url in between page cycles.
When running browsertime visual metrics, an orange screen is displayed to signify the start of recording these metrics. In some of the secondary url recordings I've done, the orange screen displays, then before loading the primary url (the one we are measuring), the secondary url is seen briefly before navigating.
It is likely that this could affect our metrics, so it was proposed to cover this secondary url with a white div until the browser navigates back to the primary url
