RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1731183

People

(Reporter: gary, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:93.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/93.0

Steps to reproduce:

Select a message. Select the content of the message. Print.

Actual results:

The entire message is printed, including all headers, regardless of what is selected.

Expected results:

Only the selected text should be printed, without headers. This is a regression!

Further, the work-around (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Printing_messages_without_full_headers) fails, as dotted red-lines surrounding any HTML tags are included in the print-out.

The only solution I have found that works for me (but really sucks) is to the highlight the area for desired print.
Cut or Capture and then Paste to an email to myself. Then print that email and I am done. It is a PITA
but better than printing three(3) pages as opposed to just one(1).
Which prior to v91. was so much better. Sorry but I fail to see any advantages to v91. over the previous
with this issue for me and others having to deal with issue. I realize this maybe is not be a bug?? Maybe more
of a missing design flaw. I don't know!?!?!. The programming of the program is well over my head!!!
But, it would seem to me if it was there before it would be a matter of finding that small amount of
code and do a copy, paste and adjust.............................................. Sorry again, just babbling here!!!!
Have a good week all!!!
