1737083 - about preferences flashes if users try to search

Steps to reproduce:

Tried to open about:preferences, search for cookies, remove unwanted cookies.

Because of bug 1658601, unless I switch the frame rate, I can't scroll about:preferences, so I try to search instead.

Actual results:

But about:preferences flashes as everything jumps about as I type.

And what I'm looking for is off-screen anyway due to bug 1722443.

Note that I've switched fonts, increased sizes, and switched colors to make text readable.

Expected results:

No @@#$% flashing. No @#$% sidebars either.

Thank you for taking the time to log this issue, I'm not sure if it's a defect or maybe more of an enhancement. I will set it as an enhancement and change it to NEW and maybe one of our developers can take a look and they might know more about it.
