I would like to save a full rendered page as an image (for example a png).
To just make a screendump don't work when the page is so big that we don't see
the full page.
I suggest that the width of the generated image should be exactly what the
window where you save is. The image saved should be the same as the one you see.
Even more, there are images with animations it would be good if it could save
the exact image when you click the button (or meny entry). Plugins like flash
could be a problem, but we could live without that.
This makes the generated image depend on the web page, window size and time of
the click!
ps. I don't know if you want these kinds of bugreports. But I know that I would
use this if it existed.
generally speaking, this isn't our job. Instead, you should install a printer
driver (eg a fax printer) which converts what we print into a picture (fax's
usually generate tiffs but your driver could generate anything, postscript and
pdf are common).
beyond that, if we limit the width to window width then we should limit the
height to window height, and you don't want that.

whether or not it's our job, an enhancement request is already filed for this...
