Steps to reproduce:
When I open a website that uses OpenSans as font, all text is shown in the same weight.
For example, here:

Actual results:
All the weights are the same
Expected results:
Different weights (Light, Regular, Bold, ...)

Are you running on macOS 12 (Monterey), with the language set to something other than English? Does changing the preferred language in System Preferences to English resolve the problem? (You'll need to restart Firefox, or at least open a new tab, to see the effect of changing it.)
If so, this is a result of bug 1732629, which is fixed in the latest Nightly builds; the fix will be in Firefox 94, due to be released next week.
Yeah, it seems that you're right!
I run the system in German. When I put English to top and opened a new tag, it worked.
Thanks for clarification, I did not find the bug you linked when I searched for something similar.
