Steps to reproduce:

clicking "Reply" opens the Message Window and positions the cursor in the "To" field.

Expected results:

clicking "Reply" should opens the Message Window and position the cursor in the "Text Message" field.

I think this was the former behaviour.

It's the most probable action that one does not want to add/change anything in the "To" field in the case of "Reply".

Please always test in troubleshoot mode - help > troubleshoot mode.

in troubleshoot mode the cursor is positioned in the text field as expected.
the addon "Thunderbird Conversations" was the culprit
