User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/95.0.4638.54 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Nothing to my knowledge

Actual results:

All the buttons and the test are artifacted. See the attached screen shot.

I shut down Thunderbird and restart and every thing is OK for a while but give it enough time, it will crash into this mode

This started after the last update. Sometimes Thunderbird crashes all the way down when this artifact starts.

Was Ver 91.2.1, Just updated to 91.3.0. We will see how it behaves.

Maybe try disabling hardware acceleration in the Thunderbird preferences.

Component: Message Reader UI → Mail Window Front End

Maybe try disabling hardware acceleration in the Thunderbird preferences.

I will see if 91.3.0 still does this then I will disable it.

I have noticed the last 4 or 5 releases use a lot more CPU resources than previous releases. I am only using the Email portion nothing else.

Just more the video artifacts that are appearing with the Windows 32 bit platform.

Have you tried to disable the hardware acceleration?

I cannot find where hardware acceleration is located. Would you please advise.

With the latest release the video artifacts are getting worse.

Preferences > General, then on bottom untick the "Use hardware acceleration when available".

I just updated to the latest 32bit version . TB did not notify me there was an update. I found it looking for Hardware Acceleration.

Hardware acceleration WAS NOT CHECKED!

Does it work WITH hardware acceleration then? (Restart thunderbird after changing the pref)

I now have version 91.10.0 (32-bit). The screens still get corrupted after a period of time after starting Thunderbird. I have this behavior with or without hardware acceleration. Windows 7 SR1

Perhaps 102 will be better? Give it a try in a couple weeks.
