Steps to reproduce:

Select from the menu: View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar > Only show on new tab
-
Open a new tab.
Actual results:
Nothing: new tab is opened, but the bookmarks toolbar is not shown.
Expected results:
The bookmarks toolbar should be shown.

By the way, when doing View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar > Always Show, I can see the toolbar.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Toolbars and Customization' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Hi,
I wasn't able to reproduce the issue on Firefox 94 or Firefox 96.0a1
Could you create a new profile and check if it also occurs there? (you will not lose your current profile)

Hi,
with a new profile I get the expected behavior.
However, when switching back to the default profile, I still do not see the bookmarks toolbar.

Does your normal/usual profile have the new tab page set to "blank page" in Firefox's settings?
