Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a web page with a quicktime movie link 2. Click on lunk and nothing happens - quicktime player does not load. Actual Results: Nothing Expected Results: The Quicktime Player application should has launched and the movie player The only solution I have is to launch the QuickTime player application, then click on the link and the movie will play fine in the player.

Using the 2002-10-11-18 NB, I can't reproduce the issue as described. Reporter, please try with the latest build. Tested under 10.2.1.
Tested with latest build nightly build Build ID: 2002101200 but problem still occurs load the following web site http://www.yourmaclife.com/subpages/archives.html can click on the speaker graphic which loads quicktime in the player, you will find it does nothing unless QuickTime player is already open. Testin IE and no problems - QT player open when you click on the speaker graphic
Hmm. This working for me using the url you have provided. QT player launches and loads the qt movie. Tested with 2002-10-12-04 under 10.2.1.
