User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:94.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/94.0

Steps to reproduce:

Nothing. Thunderbird removed a folder from both of my 2 primary domain accts!
email: tim@cpmg.com ... and ... tim@qmsi.software
Prior to yesterday, I had no problems. Then the problem occurred for no apparent reason. I have used Thunderbird and Netscape before that for 2 decades+
This is the first time Thunderbird has removed any Folder. Poof; Gone! Years of exchanges lost; but the files still exist!!

Actual results:

Each of my accounts has a similar Folder structure ... a "Business" folder was in each.
There are many other Folders, but only these 2 critical folders just "disappeared!?"
Years of data (messages) are visible in the panel on the right, but clicking any entry does not show its message body copy or any attachment info. The panel below the entries is blank! I am heartsick from this loss. I believe the data is there. I see the files in the folder.

Expected results:

The only thing I can state with certainty is that these folders have existed for years. By that I mean I recreate new accounts in new data areas for each calendar year for easy reference. I have attached 2 pictures: ver 60 and ver 91 (I had 78 in between).
Everything was perfect ... until yesterday, 11/08/2021.

I have no idea why you need my browser info. This is for Thunderbird.

Try Help | Troubleshoot mode.
You can also try right clicking and in the folder properties use the Repair Folder (which would fix it if the indexing is somehow messed up).

Hello Mangus,

I tried each of the remedies you have suggested without any corrections taking place. In fact, when I tried the Repair Folder option it erased all of the entries! I recognize they were of no value if I could not read their content, but I was surprised to have that happen. Is there no other way to read the contents from the file(s) created by Thunderbird such that they are usable!? I have a Business.sbd folder, which has been there for years in each iteration I have created for each New Year ... and there are two other files: Business and Business.msf ... the latter one has also been there for prior years. I should note that the .sbd folder has other subfolders in it that were all MADE accessible and usable when I created a new Business subfolder under my primary account entry (after it was "erased" as noted above.

Being new at this, primarily because I have never had any issues with Thunderbird for 2 decades+(?), I am not sure what happens next since there is a statement from you 10 hours ago indicating this issue is closed. :-(

=================================================================================================

I have seen other complaints about a similar problem, but the remedies suggested did not work for me. :-(

Those problems were not identical to mine, but very similar with missing Folders.

It gives me no comfort to know this happened years ago in other releases.

It is worrisome that it has now occurred to me causing GREAT difficulty because the data is not retrievable through Thunderbird!

I have no idea when I will hear from anyone or if I will at all, but this is a serious problem for me and both of my Business ventures.

Right click the folder and check the location. If the folder is named Buisness the mails are in a file named Business (no extension). Business.msf is an index and doesn't (really) hold data that can't be recreated. With Thunderbird closed, you can move the file or rename it to something else and after restart it Thunderbird should notice it. The file itself is text format, all the raw mail data one mail after the other, so with a suitable text editor you can check what's there.
Assuming you had a backup, you can copy in a backup for the Business folder. In case there actually was some problem with the file.
