Steps to reproduce:
Hi,
As soon as I transitioned to the Firefox version that is available on the Windows 11 Store(MSIX), I noticed the jump lists are not working at all. The traditional version of firefox does work correctly however.
Actual results:
When right clicking the Firefox icon, the only option is either unpin or start the app.
Expected results:
You should see the full jump list, at least the option to go into private mode from within the list.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Installer' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

What is a jump list and how/where to see one? Is this some Windows thing?

Hi Kirk,
How is this a duplicate ticket? The issue I am reporting is with the new windows 11 store app. I don’t think it has been out for 4 months. I saw the other referenced ticket and looked to be different.
Thank you

As you mention in your bug description, the version of Firefox that is available in the store is the MSIX package. You report that the jumplists work fine with traditional Firefox, but not with the MSIX version. Bug 1721488 reports that jumplists, which work normally, do not work when Firefox is installed from an MSIX package. To me, this sounds like exactly the same bug.
I don’t think it has been out for 4 months.
We have been working on supporting the MSIX package format for over 6 months. We discovered this problem during testing, before Firefox was available on the Windows Store.
I saw the other referenced ticket and looked to be different.
To me they look identical. If there is something that I am missing, let me know and I'll be happy to reopen this bug.
