Steps to reproduce:

Set gfx.webrender.compositor.force-enabled = true and
gfx.webrender.compositor = true.

Actual results:

Using sway 1.6.1 on nixos i can see tearing enabling those options.
For example while watching videos on youtube.

Expected results:

I don't see any tearing with those options disabled.

I am currently using firefox 94.0.1, i have just noticed that the user agent is wrong, maybe due to fingerprinting protection. I am already running it with MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1.

quantmint, could you share your about:support here (copy as text and just insert in a comment here - bugzilla will ask if it should turn it into an attachment)?

This is most likely not a bug from our side - if we don't use the Wayland APIs horribly wrong (which I'm pretty sure we don't), then any tearing should be prevented by the system compositor. I.e. this might be a Sway or driver bug.
