Steps to reproduce:
Me? I did nothing.
I keep Thunderbird open 24/7
Today a popup appeared alerting me to availability of a new update with a link to
"Learn More" I clicked, read and downloaded the new version. I have not closed v91.3.0 (64-bit) yet to install the new 91.3.1
I can't close or move the popup alert. It stays in front, blocking other content,
Expected results:
there should be a X to close the popup alert

Closing this issue for now as the needinfo request has gone unanswered for two weeks.
@BugMagnet1 please reopen the report if you can get back to us with the requested information.
As that popup is triggered by the update check, it is not easy (even possible?) to retest if running the latest version, without rolling back. I am overwhelmed with IRL issues...petty compared to what so many are experiencing in a world turned crazed.
Suggestion: simply add a (CLOSE) button or an (X) to opt out of such popups. The "Location" popup is similar.. offering options only to allow or block.. but not close or ignore (though the block option might do that for the session)
