User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:95.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/95.0
Steps to reproduce:
I have set up a NEW Thunderbird profile and added several IMAP mail accounts, including a GMail one.
Actual results:
I noticed that there are no mails from GMail in "Sent" unified/virtual folder.
Upon checking its properties, it has turned out that there was no check on GMail's Sent folder. I checked it manually but it was unchecked right away after that (see an account group "s@gm" in the middle of the attached screenshot and a folder with a paper plane there).
Checking/unchecking/clicking on "Search online" and "Update" did not help.
Expected results:
Unified/virtual Sent folder should contain letters from GMail, too.

At least one other user has the same issue with GMail: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1357959, though the version of Thunderbird there is 91, not 95 like in my case.

Not quite: as it can be seen on my screenshot in its lower part, the unified search folder Sent does work fine with non-ASCII characters in cases other than Gmail.

That does indicate this would be bug 1739789 (gmail support utf-8 imap, other servers may not and if it doesn't the bug would not show)
