Steps to reproduce:
Recently ran upgrade on CentOS Linux system, to 7.9 and Firefox 91.3.0esr. Since upgrade: problem occurs always within firefox browser window, except password manager popup (so far only instance I've noticed where the hot spot is where expected). I've attempted to un-install/re-install the firefox-x86_64 package, did not fix.

Actual results:
After upgrade to 91.3.0esr, the cursor hot spot is almost a quarter inch (Dell 2209WA display at 1680x1050 ) above the cursor image (either arrow of hand). This does not happen in the rest of the Mate desktop window or other apps (e.g. Chrome, Okular, ImageViewer...)
Expected results:
cursor hot spot is expected to be at the point of the arrow, or end of index finger of the hand image.
Various help pages (e.g. stackOverflow) suggest Firefox should get cursor settings from the window manager (Mate in this case). Can't find any means to adjust within Firefox

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

I'm not seeing this issue on my Ubuntu 20.04 x 64 machine - tried with Firefox 91.3.0 esr and with the latest Nightly 96.0a1.
Dave, could you maybe provide a website where you are seeing this happening more obviously? You also said that you upgraded to Firefox 91.3.0 esr, could you please see if the issue is reproducible also in Safe Mode (standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions and some custom settings). The issue was not limited to a web site, it happened in all of the Firefox window except popups like the password manager. I'd have to hover the cursor under a tab until I found the spot where the tab would change color, or the close tab 'x' changed, like wise, in yahoo mail reader, the cursor point had to be about 1/4 inch below the mail item line to select it. However when once activated, a pull down (like a bookmark folder in the tool bar) the cursor hot spot acted normally within the pull down widget(?) selecting the bookmark in the bookmark folder. Rather disorienting...
Once restarted in trouble shooing mode I'm not seeing the problem, OK that indicates a theme or app? Will restart again in normal mode...
Not exhibiting the problem after turning off trouble shooting mode. Next step is to restart my system and see if it occurs again or has been exorcised?
My appologies for not trying troubleshooting mode before submitting bug, for the moment looks resolved. I'll try to post an additional comment after system reboot.

Post power cycle reboot, Firefox does not exhibit the issue, cursor hot spot is just where I expect it.
Appears whatever issue was triggered during the upgrade was corrected by entering trouble shooting mode and did not reappear after leaving same.
