Steps to reproduce:

Go to https://elpais.com/sociedad/2021-11-20/miles-de-personas-protestan-en-viena-contra-el-confinamiento-y-una-vacunacion-obligatoria.html and try to reproduce the video.

This happens also with these videos in
https://www.rainews.it/tgr/rubriche/leonardo/

Actual results:

The videos willl not start (I guess), while with Edge they do start

Expected results:

That the videos get reproduced

Please check both the console and the network tab of Firefox' Developer Tools and report back.

I tried reproducing this on the latest versions of Firefox Nightly 96.0a1 (2021-11-21), beta 95.0b10 and release 94.0.1 and the video starts without any issues for me.

Can you test the issue while in Safe Mode? You can find helpful info here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode .
Also a fresh new profile could help. You can find more about creating a new profile here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems#w_6-create-a-new-firefox-profile .
If possible, you can test this issue on the nightly build as well. Download the build from : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/all/ .

I tried it with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:96.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/96.0 and had problems opening the first video from elpais.com. But after changing the security preferences to standard, the video worked.
