when i type in search keywords in the URL box and click the search button,
instead of bringing me to the netscape search page, it brings up a download box
that says the following- you have chosen to download a file of type:
application/octet-stream from http://search.netscape.com/ what should mozilla do
with this file? Upon attempting to download it, it only brings up paintshop pro.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type in a search query on the URL address bar
2. click the adjacent "search" button.
3.

Actual Results:
brought up a download box that says the following- you have chosen to download a
file of type: application/octet-stream from http://search.netscape.com/ what
should mozilla do with this file? Upon attempting to download it, it only brings
up paintshop pro.

Expected Results:
brought me to the actual netscape search results page

I imagine this problem must have been fixed by now.

Worksforme, 2003022008 (pre-1.3-final), Windows 98.

Reporter, can you please try it again? Does it now work?

If it is still doesn't work, does it work with 1.3 beta or later?
Summary: cannot search through URL/adress/location bar box- brings up a paintshop pro download → cannot search through URL/address/location bar box- brings up a paintshop pro download
