1743220 - Account / Bookmarks did not sync/ load

Steps to reproduce:

I logged into FireFox, account but forgot the password. Upon password reset, I started the sync process to get bookmarks and passwords. Account: [e-mail]

Actual results:

Nothing synced. I couldn't see any of my bookmarks.

Expected results:

Should've seen everything from my previous FireFox in my new one.

If you forget the password and reset it then sync deletes all the uploaded data. The data encryption key is protected with the old password (otherwise Mozilla would have access to your data); without it we can't restore the data. If you still have the local data and forget the password then a new copy will be uploaded after you reset the password. If you have lost the local data and have forgotten the password there is no way to recover.

I do have the old local data files. But I do not know how to upload/ restore them. Could you explain how to upload the local date?
