1743391 - Firefox flickers when unminimized with an ongoing call

[Environment:]

Mac Os X 10.15
macOS Big Sur 11.6

Firefox 91.4.0 esr, Firefox 95 beta, Nightly 96.0a1.

[Steps:]

1. Open Firefox, and open any video-calling client ( Google Meet, Zoom, Cisco Webex, etc..)
2. Allow camera and microphone permissions
3. Join/start a meeting with a camera and mic on
4. Minimize Firefox by clicking the minimize button
5. Reopen by clicking on the Firefox dock item.

[Expected Result:]

Firefox should be properly unminimized.

[Actual Result:]

A flicker can be seen when unminimizing Firefox by clicking on the Firefox dock item. If I unminimize by clicking on the other Firefox window item on the right, the flicker is not seen.

I can't reprodcue this on my MacOS VM. From the bug description it seems like a cosmetic issue.

Simona, if you have time could you run this on mozregression? I'm wondering if the issue is even Site Permissions / sharing indicator related.

This issue is not reproducible on Firefox 78. Using the mozregression tool I tried to find the regression range, but with no luck since I can't un-minimize Firefox using the Firefox dock item between Nightly 79 and Nightly 96 (most probably due to Bug 1732572).

Thanks Simona! I can see that only the video is flickering. This doesn't seem SitePermissions related. Hoping that somebody from WebRTC has more insight into this. Thanks!
