Steps to reproduce:
Configure Mozilla to Automatically quote original text and to start my reply
after the quoted text.
Start typing a reply.
Rewrap the text with Options-Rewrap.
Watch typed reply dissappear.

I have tried with a a bugzilla mail:
at the beginning i see html quoted with vertical lines
I type my text and use Option->wrap
My reply disapears, the original text is quoted with >

To retrieve something correct i have to use edit->Undo twice
(and Some times one more)

If i select some part of the text, i have more strange results.

And a question: What rewrap is supposed to do ?
rewrap all the text ?
rewrap the selected text?
rewrap the replied text ?
....

This is actually a dup -- I wondered whether that might be deleting other things
besides the signature!  There's a patch in bug 174987.
