174631 - Throbber keeps spinning after I cancel xpi download dialog

seen on 1014 trunk build, without java installed

steps:
make sure the PFS checkbox in Prefs is selected
go to the above url
click on the default plugin dialog that comes up
observe that an xpi dialog appears, click CANCEL on that dialog

Actual result : The throbber keeps spinning. 
Expected: Throbber should stop spinning as soon as I cancel the xpi dialog.

yeah, i was with shrir when we tried to reproduce it on my machine with a
current mozilla trunk.  I will try to reproduce it again.

ostgote, do you have a machine without java on that you can try?

Plug-in Finder Service (pref application.use_ns_plugin_finder)

I could try it with SeaMonkey trunk on WinXP with deinstalled java (I guess I must update anyway).

For the branch it seems to work, but we are now redirect to Sun's download page, so this is not anymore the original problem. For trunk currently the missing plugin code seems to be broken.

But I tested the XPI install dialog with http://miksworld.de/orbit-1.9a4-MiK.xpi, and this WFM with both branch and trunk, i.e. no spinning of the throbber.

is throbber the only issue?

Resolving as wont fix, plugin support deprecated in Firefox 85.
