Steps to reproduce:

1; I remove and reinstall Firefox and also clear my profiles.
2; I open Firefox
3; I receive a prompt asking me to '' Choose an application to open the ftp link''
4; More of these prompts keep coming in.

Actual results:

More of these prompts keeps coming in.

Expected results:

I wanted to use the browser with out any distractions.

Can you provide more info about your OS and the version you are using.
Just copy & paste from the "about:support" page.

Are other applications running on you computer at the same time?

I couldn't manage to reproduce this issue on my end. It would be really helpful if we could know if there is other applications running on you computer at the same time?
Does this issue occur in the latest nightly version of Firefox? Here is a link from where you can download it: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/
