The first tab has no left border. There was a border the first time I ran todays
build. Every restart since, no border.

I'm still seeing behavior similar to this bug in 1.5 beta (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U;
Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030827). For me, it occurs when the sidebar
is shown, but minimized all the way (see the sidebar gripper on the left side
of the window). When I just hide the sidebar, tabs' borders are all okay,
except that the left border of the first tab is then gone, as this bug first
described.

Tab titles are sometimes missing their right border (see screenshot, it happens
if you open up enough tabs with mozilla.org loaded in them). It seems to only
happen when the text cannot fit and is truncated and the "..." is shown.
Tested on
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040227 Firefox/0.8.0+
(the gtk2+xft build).
