Steps to reproduce:
- Was running Thunderbird on Windows till now. Closed all running instances, zipped and copied the profile folder to Linux box.
- Ensured thunderbird is not running and went to the TB location in profile folder. Located the default profile, cleared it and unzipped the contents from Windows.
- Launched Thunderbird
Actual results:
The mailboxes opened properly. But some of the folders like Sent Items, Trash etc are listed as two
Sent Items
Sent Items~1
Expected results:
The folder structure should be same as in the server.

As you moved your profile between dissimilar operating systems (Windows to Linux) the path names in the 'prefs.js' file could have the wrong syntax. So either the 'prefs.js' file would need editing before starting Thunderbird or you would need to reselect the Account Settings 'local directory' by using the 'Browse button for all accounts including Local Folders before they synchronised with any server.
Please offer some info:
Did you delete the pkcs11.txt file before launching Thunderbird? This stops repeated prompts for account login passwords if they are saved.
Did you edit the 'prefs.js' file before launching Thunderbird? Altering any incorrect path directories.
OR
Did you start Thunderbird in offline mode to prevent access to server and force Thunderbird to update the information stored in the prefs.js file by using the "Browse" button for the local directory in your Account Settings -> Server Settings for all mail accounts including Local Folders, to specify the correct account and mail directories? Then went into online mode to connec to server.
OR
did you launch Thunderbird in online mode and it accessed server to show default subscribed folders and then you reset the 'local directory' info ?
It would help to understand what process you followed as it might help to explain what occurred.

Good Morning Wayne. I guess I missed your previous communication notification. It seems to be fine with the later versions. So we can toggle the status as Fixed instead of leaving it dangling as Incomplete.
