Steps to reproduce:

  • Select "Bookmarks Toolbar: Only show on new tab";
  • Open a new browser window;

Hi,

I have tested your issue on Release 95, Beta 96 and latest Nightly build 97.0a1 (2021-12-30) and could not reproduce it using Ubuntu 20 and Windows 10.
If the issue is still reproducible on your end, can you please retest this using latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8) to eliminate the potential causes.
Also could you please specify what OS version are you using?

Thanks for the report.

If you set your new tab to a blank page, this is a duplicate of bug 1676492

@Alin - as my user agent string shows: v.95, Ubuntu.
@Francesco - yes, new tab is blank page, so agree it is duplicate of bug 1676492
