Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:76.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/76.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Account didn't have 2FA on.
- Tried to login through https://addons.mozilla.org and https://extensionworkshop.com/
- Since I haven't logged in in a while, it asked me for the sent email auth code.
- Afterwards, the prompts make me activate 2FA. There is an option to cancel and continue, but pressing it doesn't log me in (instead getting me back to the original page).
- Going through the process of activating 2FA, after inputting one of the single-use codes and pressing confirm, it states 2FA has been activated, but it doesn't go from there, I'm still not logged in, and 2FA doesn't seem to have stuck.
At this point, I tried to input another code, made a mistake and was locked out for 15 minutes.
After those 15 minutes passed, I went to https://accounts.firefox.com and, to my surprise, it allowed me to, from there, activate 2FA (as the prompts are different), which then allowed me to login into the Extension Workshop.
Actual results:
Wasn't allowed to login without having 2FA.
The 2FA process on the login prompt seems to fail.
Expected results:
Should(?) be allowed to login without 2FA.
The 2FA process should be allowed to be cancelled while logging in the user, and if followed through, it should work.
