Thunderbird version 91.4.1 (32-Bit)
Attachments in Thunderbird with a colon ":" in the file name, cannot be opened in a Windows File System !!!
This was possible in previous version.
(Unfortunately, some of our customers send us such attachments)
Greetings from Berlin
This issue is broader than just the colon - we're having the same issue with attachments with a backslash "" in the filename as well. This worked in previous Thunderbird releases.
Likewise ... we have a vendor sending us such attachments.

We have identified the same issue since version 91.4.1
Tested under windows:
- Double click on an attached file; forbidden characters in a windows file name are no longer converted to "hyphen".
- If you carry out the "Save as" option, the prohibited characters are replaced by a "dash"
- If you use thunderbird's PDF viewer, the conversion is fine.
The problem is therefore only present when creating the temporary file when requesting to open with an external program - there is no longer any replacement of prohibited characters (: / \ ...)

We have been working with Thunderbird for more than 10 years and cannot understand why forbidden characters are no longer being replaced. As a result, Thunderbird has largely become unusable for us and we unfortunately have to switch to another program.
The built-in PDF viewer is unusable due to the very poor print quality and the lack of setting options.
