Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:96.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/96.0
Steps to reproduce:
Open Thunderbird. Open "About Thunderbird".
Actual results:
Thunderbird says that it is version 91.4.1 and up-to-date (and I am on the release branch).
Expected results:
Thunderbird should detect that the latest version for my platform (Linux 64-bit) is currently 91.5.0 (as the Thunderbird download site offers).

Sorry, 91.5.0 is only offered via the link
https://download.mozilla.org/?product=thunderbird-latest&os=linux64&lang=en-US
not by the website. So I am not sure what is going on.

OK, now Thunderbird updated to 91.5.0 . I am not sure whether the short(?) window where the download link and the update detection are out of sync is significant to you.

Your bug report came just 5 minutes after 91.5.0 became live on the internet. So probably just a delay somewhere in the network.
Unless you are using TB from a distro, in which case you'd want to contact them about any problems.
