User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910 Having a freshly installed debian-woody stable with courier-imap i cannot get mozilla use the special folders because of the error "invalif Mailbox" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create an account with mozilla (imap server directory is blank by default) 2. in advanced server settings set imap server drectory to "INBOX." (without ") 3. reload folder list 4. try to access any other folder than inbox 5. Get the Invalid mailbox error Actual Results: The current command did not succed. The server responded: Invalid mailbox. Expected Results: No errors and a list of emails in the folder. OE6 have no problems whatsoever with listing the folders and the emails in them. Also if you doesn't specify the imap server directory no errors occur but all folders are subfolders of inbox and thus have not the special icons.
Ok, the main problem you describe is a result of bug 80858 and as such is a duplicate. The second problem you mention of special folders not getting recognized when left under the inbox was fixed a while back but I'm not sure if it was before or after 09/10 (which is when the last part of you user agent is telling us your build was pulled from the mozilla tree). Please try it with a recent build and open a new bug if you still see the problem. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 80858 ***
