I'm running Phoenix 0.3 under Windows 98. My system colors are black as the
background and white as the text. In the preferences window, the check boxes
are black, but so are the checks so I can't see what is checked and what is not.
This should be easy to fix once we have nsITheme hooked up for pre-winXP, bug 172751
Taking Asa's word for this and marking this one as NEW and depending on bug 172751.

Well, that bug has been closed. Have the checkboxes changed? There are other
places where similar things happen, such as the right arrow indicating a
subfolder/submenu. I had to hack my userChrome.css to swap them

Is this working for you in a current nightly build, David?
I think this is working now and I've had some conformation in email.

I set background color to red and text color to white and checkboxes and such
are white on white, not white on red. The same applies to select dropdowns and
list.

This works on all platforms except XP. Bug 174740 addresses a similar issue.

Resolving this bug again.
