  • 98.0a1 (20220113215749)
  • 97.0b5 (20220118185733)
  • 96.0.1 (20220113185450)

Affected platforms

  • Windows 10x64
  • Windows 7x64
  • macOS 10.15

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Firefox, set a light theme and reddit page.
  2. Click on the shield icon from the URL bar.
  3. Click on Site not working -> Send a report.
  4. Observe the URL field and repeat the above steps for dark themes.

Expected result

  • The URL field does not have the text field displayed on the light and dark themes and only the site address is shown.

Actual result

  • URL field displays a text field for the dark theme but does not for the Light theme for the address.

Regression range

  • Reproducible with 76.0a1(2020-04-05) as well but the text is black with white background for the dark theme. I will search for one ASAP if there is one.

Notes

  • Screenshot attached.
  • If the website address from the URL is clicked the borderline is displayed for the text field on the white theme.

Summary: Inconsistency between black and white theme inside Report a Broken site panel for the URL field → Inconsistency between Dark and Light theme inside Report a Broken site panel for the URL field
QA Whiteboard: [qa-regression-triage]

I think that the textbox styling on the light theme was removed with bug 1569191. This is the pushlog.

On dark theme the URL field background was white with a black URL text on Firefox 70.0a1 (2019-07-28) as well. Based on the above I think it's safe to assume that this is not a regression.
