Steps to reproduce:
- Enable dark mode
- Set up a new email address
Actual results:
Warning messages (as seen in screenshot) are unreadable in dark mode due to excessively bright background colour.
Expected results:
Warning messages should use a darker background colour in dark mode, both to increase contrast with the text and also not to overpower the user's eyes in dark conditions.

Note that the screenshot is from my installed version, Version 78, but the complaint is from a coworker on Thunderbird 91.

I can't confirm your issue. Se the screenshot taken from TB 91 (faked to show as warning because I can't force a real warning). TB 78 is end of support.
Please add a TB 91 screenshot with steps to reproduce.
