Steps to reproduce:

Go to a site with embedded map such as https://www.zillow.com or https://www.yelp.com.
Hover over the embedded map and start moving the mouse at various speeds.
Also try clicking an dragging.

Actual results:

The mouse flickers and occasionally disappears for few seconds.

This does not happen in full google map - maps.google.com
And it does not happen in Chrome.

I've tried disabling all the extensions, disabling hardware acceleration, troubleshooting mode, refreshing firefox, reinstalling firefox, disabling browsing options, etc.

Windows 11
Firefox 96.0.2

I've also tried my work computer which is Windows 10.

Expected results:

The mouse cursor should stay visible the entire time while interacting with the embedded map.

I'm having the same problem. I believe it has to do with the Intel Iris Xe Graphics card (driver version 27.20.100.8853) and compatibility with Firefox. Maybe an issue with Windows 10 or just the Intel graphics card.

When I mouse over Google Maps that uses an API the mouse flickers / disappears. Disabling the hardware acceleration didn't help. When I plug my laptop into my external graphics cards (1070 TI) it works fine. The problem is only in Firefox as all other browsers work.

My laptop has Intel Iris Plus graphics card. (Intel i7 1064G7)

However, it also happens on my kids laptop which has a Intel UHD Graphics card. (Intel i5 1035G1)
And my work computer which is a VM.

May be it has to do with Intel Graphics card in general?

I'm on 96.0.3 with an NVIDIA 2080 Ti (511.23). I went to Yelp, searched for "plumbers", and interacted with the resulting map on the right side of the window. I could not get the little hand icon to disappear, but when I hover over one of the blue-stars pins, the entire map continuously flickers for me. The red-dot pins function as expected.

Flicker is actually MUCH faster than the screen capture shows.
